Watch the Story of DD — The Dog Who Saved a Life, and Didn’t Even Know It!

Blade Anthony was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder after returning home from a tour as a medic in the Marine Corps, and found himself falling into a spiraling hole of depression. He was at a point where he didn’t want to live.

That’s when he decided to contact Pets for Vets. On his application he requested, simply, for a companion. Someone to understand him, when no one else seemed to.

Thankfully, Pets for Vets was able to match Blade up with DD — a beautiful, loveable, and loving pup. Someone whom Blade could finally connect with. Check out this incredibly inspiring video.
