We so often hear stories of humans abusing and neglecting cats, especially big ones. But here’s a heartwarming tale of transformation that will have you feeling good about the world!

There are believed to be fewer than 350 Amur tigers left in the wild, but thanks to the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), now there’s one more. Zolushka (Cinderella in English) is an Amur tigress that was orphaned as a cub in eastern Russia when her mother was likely killed by poachers. IFAW worked with partners in far east Russia to rescue and rehabilitate this amazing animal, and now she’s not only surviving in the wild, but thriving.

Watch the video to learn more about Zolushka’s story and watch her incredible return to the wild.
