Terrified Shelter Dog Meets Her New Mom For The First Time And Her Whole Demeanor Changes

This senior dog had been in a shelter for a long time. She would sit alone in her enclosure against the wall and was extremely scared and depressed.

Because of the circumstances, she seemed closed off and unfriendly, but that was far from the truth.

She was actually extremely affectionate and had so much love to give, but no one to give it to. Thankfully, a woman saw her in the shelter and knew she wanted to give her a forever home!

Once this pup was adopted, she broke out of her shell and was like a whole new dog! The once terrified, introverted shelter dog was now an outgoing, tail-wagging family dog!

Unfortunately, she has some health issues, as do many senior dogs, but now she’s getting the best treatment possible and is being well-taken care of.

She spent a lot of her life sad in a shelter, but what matters is most is that she now has a forever home and a human who will love her unconditionally. This sweet little pup couldn’t be happier!

There are many dogs like this one who are stuck in shelters across the country. If you’re thinking of getting a dog, consider adopting! You could make a shelter dog extremely happy! It’s also important not to judge a dog’s personality by how they seem in the shelter. Shelters can be an extremely stressful environment for animals, so they may not be able to act like themselves. This is also why fostering is a great idea. It helps these distressed shelter animals get a break for a while!
