Coastal Commission Bans Orca Breeding At SeaWorld San Diego

In San Diego, SeaWorld is looking to expand its facility due to plummeting attendance ever since the release of the acclaimed documentary “Blackfish.” Losing money is certainly a wake-up call. The Coastal Commission agreed to let SeaWorld expand to a $100 million dollar facility if they stop breeding orcas in captivity. Is this one step closer to #EmptyTheTanks? Let’s hope so!
