A Look Inside One Of Seattle’s First Cat Cafes!

Seattleites are known for their love of coffee, and it looks like they took it to a new level! The Emerald City just got its first cat café: Seattle Meowtropolitan! When Max Lai and two of his University of Washington friends discovered that this awesome concept was already popular in Europe and Asia, they decided to bring the idea to the city's Wallingford neighborhood. The café hosts cats from Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC), which gives these shelter cats a great opportunity to play and interact with humans (not to mention it gives cat lovers the opportunity to love on some felines while enjoying a cup of joe). What makes this place even cooler? At various times the cats are also available for adoption!

De Mello likes books, music, movies, running, and being outdoors as much as possible.
