48 Animal Shelters Are Getting A Much-Needed Facelift Thanks to GreaterGood.org! Learn About The Amazing Transformations

Tiger and Sarah are two Jack Russell Terrier mixes rescued by The Humane Society of Utah, a lucky recipient of one of GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Rebuild renovations.

For years, The Animal Rescue Site and GreaterGood.org have been leading the charge for shelter animals. They’ve increased adoption rates using beautiful pet photography, teamed up with Rachael Ray in support of shelter cats, and renovated dozens of shelters in need throughout the U.S. But it the spring of 2014, they decided to take things to a whole new level.

With support from their friends at Pedigree® and Animal Lifeline, GreaterGood.org set their most ambitious goal yet: to renovate 48 shelters in 48 different states in just six months.

To date, the team has completed 41 of their scheduled builds and captured the attention of some big-name animal lovers along the way, including Josh Duhamel, David Ortiz and Miranda Lambert. Check out the video below to see Miranda’s tearful reaction to the renovations at her hometown shelter!

The improvements won’t end when the construction is over. Pedigree® has generously pledged to donate thousands of pounds of pet food to ensure that none of these shelters will be forced to euthanize or turn away abandoned animals.

Stay tuned on The Animal Rescue Site Blog for exclusive shelter stories featuring adoptable animals (like Tiger and Sarah, pictured above) whose lives have been saved by Rescue Rebuild’s amazing efforts.
