Quirky Pit Bull Still Thanks His Mom Everyday After Years Of Being Fostered

If a dog owns you, then you know they get pretty excited when you walk through the door at the end of the day. But most dogs are not like Kylo.

Kylo was placed in a city shelter when he was 10 months old. Then he was found by ALIVE Rescue Memphis and placed in a foster home. But he sadly remained there for quite a while with no real interest. The people who knew Kylo were shocked. He was so loving and sweet… with the cutest Bully face! Kylo was ready for his forever home but where was his forever family? Would they ever find him?

But then something wonderful happened! It was as if Kylo had to wait this long because the family he was destined to become apart of had to see him at that right moment. Sometimes it’s like that, things just have to click.

Meghan Sweers told The Dodo: “We saw his picture on Facebook and reached out. I think he was always meant to wind up with us, it just took some time for us to find him!”

Sweers and her husband decided to do a trial night with Kylo to see how he would get along with their other dog, Nellie. When Kylo arrived it was as if this was his home all along. The volunteer drove four hours to bring Kylo to Sweers’ home and then… “As soon as they left, he crawled into my lap, tucked his head under my chin, and started snoring like a chainsaw. From that moment my husband and I knew he was staying with us!”

Sounds like fate to me!

The Sweers family fell in love with Kylo and he immediately fell in love with them. Even when they noticed his quirks, they lovingly accommodated every one of them! Even his fear of hardwood floors! The Sweers family accepted that Kylo wasn’t a fan, and filled their home with all new rugs.

Sweers told The Dodo: “He navigates the house by jumping from rug to rug.” How cute is that?!

And while Kylo is happy to see his other family members as they enter the door, he waits impatiently, for his mom to come home most. Dad comes home first, lets him out of his crate and then Kylo is glued to the very spot his mom comes home to. When she enters the door, EVERY SINGLE EVENING, he goes crazy-happy with hugs and jumps and kisses! If she doesn’t sit down so he can crawl onto her lap, she gives him the puppy eyes until she does! D’awwww!

The best part is this! Sweers told The Dodo: “Many of our family members who were very prejudiced against bully breeds have changed their tune after spending time around him. He wins people over a bit forcibly … by climbing into their lap and falling asleep.”

Kylo certainly won me over… how ’bout you?
