Left To Die On Train Tracks, Felina Has An Up-Hill Battle Ahead

“Freight Train Felina” was found beside the railroad tracks. She had one leg totally amputated, her back leg was mutilated and her tail was almost completely severed off. She was barely alive and her body was full of infection. If a good Samaritan hadn’t found her and brought her to the vet this amazing little girl might not be here today.

When Felina arrived at the vets office her chance of survival was not looking very promising. She had an infection throughout her entire body and was not strong enough for a much-needed surgery.

The vet recommended she be put down, but Felina gave the vets assistant kisses and had a look in her eyes that said she wanted to survive. When the Ghetto Rescue Foundation was contacted about her and heard her story they knew she deserved a chance.

With treatment her fever went from 104 down to 101 and her infection started to subside. This was a good sign but she still had a long way to go.

Soon Felina was strong enough for surgery. She had one of her amputated leg cleaned up and her tail removed. She is definitely a fighter and started to get better day-by-day.

Felina does not let the fact that is only has 3 legs slow her down. She is sweet, loving and grateful for a second chance.

Below is the most recent picture of Felina. She is currently being fostered but would love a forever home to call her own. She just needs someone to open their heart and let her jump right in.
