With their independent and low-maintenance personalities, cats are often the preferred pets, but this little canine fellow is living proof that dogs can be self-sufficient too. This energetic puppy has devised an ingenious way of playing fetch by the river all on its own while its presumably busy owner awaits nearby.

According to the author of the video, this is one of the pooch’s favorite ways to spend time outdoors.
