Ozy the Surfin’ Dog Hangs Ten

Dog owner Jayce Love often spends his weekends surfing at the beach with his pooch, Ozy. In fact, there are a number of dogs doing what Ozy does, and the benefits are undeniable. The Animal Rescue Site recognizes a role for excitable service dogs that allows them to continue serving people with disabilities through surfing, rather than being released from service programs due to their high energy.

Ozy, the dog in the blue vest in this video, got to show off his surfing skills at Petco’s Surf Dog Competition in 2014.
