Cookie the Corgi was just six weeks old when her humans noticed that she wasn’t acting right and was seemingly in a lot of pain.

They brought her to the vet, but no one was sure of what the problem was. Soon after that, she lost the ability to use her back legs. Baffled as to why this was happening, they took her to a specialist who agreed that Cookie was in a lot of pain.

Cookie began physical therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, and swim lessons to help keep her legs moving although she cannot use them right now.

Cookie is improving slowly but surely. Her humans began using a special harness to take her outside on walks. But now she has a new wheelchair thanks to WalkinPets.com. Walkin’ Pets designs wheelchairs for elderly, disabled and injured dogs to give them a second chance at being able to walk again.

Cookie may be different from other dogs, but she doesn’t act like it. Despite not being able to walk without assistance, she still gets around great and is a fun and loving pup. She still loves to play and she is always smiling.

She still has a lot of healing to do, but she has a loving family to help her along the way! It’s unknown if Cookie will ever walk without her wheelchair, but regardless, she’ll continue to keep her positive attitude. We can all learn a thing or two from Cookie!
