The Ultimate Showdown: Cats vs. Bugs

Eh, bugs. I’m not a fan. But they do serve a serious purpose in the cat world. They stimulate the heck out of ’em! Our little hunters go kitty crazy for the little creepers. Not sure if it’s because they’re invading their territory or if it’s how they move around. Either way, most cats love to hunt them.

Not all cats kill bugs. In fact, in my house, my cat loves to follow them around. And stare at them. For hours. And hours. Yea, it’s a spectacle for sure. My cat just lies there, or sits there, and gives them the cat eye until they move on to the next spot. And then it continues there. Poor bugs. LOL!

In general, hunting bugs isn’t harmful, but it isn’t the greatest thing if the hunting turns into snack time. So, it’s suggested that you observe this behavior by staying nearby. Some bugs can be poisonous and if that’s the case, interrupt this ritual immediately. We would hate for a fun game of “cat and bug” to turn into a health scare. So, as long as the game is safe, hunt on, kitties. Hunt on!
