Howl Of A Dog, an animal rescue organization, received a phone call regarding baby animals that were heard crying in the bushes outside of a village in Romania.

Rescuers arrived at the scene to check it out. They initially assumed that a wild animal or a stray dog or cat had given birth there, but upon further investigation, they were heartbroken at what they found.

It turned out to be a litter of puppies who were abandoned in a bag on the side of the road. They were so young, they still had their umbilical cords attached. It was very rainy chilly that morning and their bodies were so cold, it was a miracle that they were still alive.

They searched the area to make sure there were no more puppies there before they left, and wound up finding another puppy who was stuck in the grass nearby. They brought the puppies back to their rescue center, but unfortunately four of them didn’t make it. The three surviving puppies, however, made a miraculous recovery!

Staff bottle-fed the puppies and they were growing bigger and stronger every day. One of their other rescue dogs, Theia, took great care of the pups and acted as their foster mom. She stayed by their side and showed them the ropes. With her help, they were becoming much more socialized and playful.

One of the pups, named Bernie, found his forever home with a loving family 1200 miles away in England! Not only does he have great humans to care for him, but he also has a lot of new animal siblings: dogs, horses, cows and more!

He has acres to run around on, lakes to swim in, muddle puddles to play in, and beaches to visit. He is truly living the best life ever with his other adopted doggy siblings.
