BREAKING NEWS: Against the Grain Pet Food Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of certain lots of Pulled Beef with Gravy Dinner for Dogs due to possible pentobarbital contamination.

Oral exposure to pentobarbital can cause side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, excitement, loss of balance, nausea nystagmus (eyes moving back and forth in a jerky manner), inability to stand, coma, and in worst cases, can result in death. Please see the affected products below.

Why was it recalled?

This product is being voluntarily recalled as a precautionary measure due to pentobarbital contamination. Against the Grain maintains that it has yet to receive any complaints about its food since it was founded. The affected lot was distributed to independent pet food stores in Washington and Maryland

What can you do?

If your dog shows signs of discomfort or illness please contact your veterinarian immediately.
